Trenchless sewer repair is a modern technique that fixes or replaces damaged sewer lines with minimal excavation. Two primary methods include:
- Pipe Lining (Cured-In-Place Pipe or CIPP): A flexible liner coated with resin is inserted into the damaged pipe. Once in place, the resin cures, forming a new pipe within the old one.
- Pipe Bursting: A bursting head is pulled through the existing pipe, fracturing it while simultaneously installing a new pipe in its place.
These methods are less invasive, quicker, and often more durable than traditional excavation techniques.
